We use full synthetic ATF in all of our transmissions. We do not build transmissions in house, we have used Summit Transmission for all of our transmission builds for the last 4 years. We have had excellent luck with these transmissions in all 3 makes of trucks from stock to 800+ horsepower. They shift smooth, and crisp but do not slam shift. Give us a call if you are interested in pricing! Dj

I have a 47re that I have been babying for a few years now.  I was reading online that you can swap out the atf+4 for Dex III with lubegard (black bottle) and it will regain a bit of the grab.  What do you guys at DK use in your transimission rebuilds?

Also Do you rebuild in house or do you send it out?  If you send it out do you use or have heard of DTS (not DTT) or Rob's Auto, both of which are in Canada?  I've read they know thier stuff and you tend to get a better finsihed product then with BD or DTT or Gorend.

Welcome to the forum!

From what we have found regular gasoline approved fuel line works just fine with ULSD fuel. We do stock bio diesel approved fuel line and that is what we like to use when we replace the rubber lines on diesel engines just to be safe. I'm sure your Coast Guard approved hose will be just fine.

Ok, so the diesel web forums seem to be saying one should install fuel hose that is specifically rated for Diesel rather than Gasoline.  I must have spoken with every shop and outlet in town (Bellingham) including you guys at DK Diesel and everyone in the county agreed that it's not an issue unless biodiesel is in the mix.  I then did some more research online and came up with this article.

Is this something that I need to be worried about? I have standard US Coast Guard approved fuel line, but before I install it i figured I'd ask one mroe time.

Hello,

Do you have a fuel pressure gauge on the truck? if so what is your fuel pressure? If your truck has a stock lift pump you can pretty much count on needing a aftermarket pump. If your fuel pressure drops below 10 psi on a vp44 pump you are doing internal damage every minute you run it. If you are local just stop by our shop and we will test your fuel pressure free of charge. Or give us a call and we can help you figure out what is goin on.

I am thinking about getting a gooseneck trailer and even though the lift looks really good, I don't really need it.

I want to go with a smaller tire for towing as well, but I think 35s look to small with a 6" lift.  I am just seeing if there is anybody out there.  I am in no real hurry.
